Creativity fuels custom solutions.

Tapis has developed customized products for award-winning Business and First Class cabins including Emirates, Qatar, Etihad Airways, Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, JAL, Lufthansa, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Swiss Air, Qantas, and Air New Zealand. On each occasion, we worked with the designer and airline directly from the ground level up to create a customized product to meet the airline’s precise needs and requirements.

Ultrafabrics® can be engineered to achieve customer-specific requirements, including grains, colors, finishes, and technical specifications. We can adjust the gloss level, weight, breathability, thickness and incorporate enhanced inherent properties such as enhanced ink and stain protection and anti-microbial technology for seating applications.

The Ultraleather® 9 Series has been specifically designed for vertical applications throughout commercial aviation. It is manufactured with low heat releasing FR resins to meet Heat Release and Smoke Density: FAR25.853, Appendix F, Part IV, and Part V and ABD0031.

Ultrasuede® BHC and TapiSuede™ BHC-SS maintain the same characteristics as the standard Ultrasuede and TapiSuede products, but are extremely lightweight, meet the most stringent flame-retardant requirements for commercial aircraft, and can be customized in any color.

Our custom laser-etching process adds a pattern to our Ultrasuede® fabric using a laser without a screen or roller for printing. This innovative system offers extraordinary decorating results without compromising the quality and durability of the product and has been designed to transform Ultrasuede® to fulfill your design vision. We also offer a unique Resin custom capability that uses screens and various resins, allowing customers to control multiple colors and detail. As with laser-etching, this gives designers an open canvas with which to work.
